MXRTY THE PXRTY, the alt-hip-hop project of Martin Dovali, has shared his bombastic new single “Head Over Feet”. Influenced by the likes of Anderson .Paak, and ’00s pop, the new single is a lively alt-funk hit that came to be over a bottle of gin and good vibes.
“I wrote this song with long time friend Chazei who is also featured on this song”, Mxrty shares. “We drank a bottle of our favorite gin and refused to micromanage the process by saying to each other, “let’s write something fun”, then we wrote and recorded the song that day in one session. We had a blast creating this song and I’m confident the song will infect you with the same amazing vibes! It captures the flirtatious feelings of a summertime fling so good that you’ll loose your balance tripping, needing to get your “Head Over Feet”.
Groovy bass lines and bouncing percussion are the hallmarks of the track, while Mxrty’s laidback yet energizing performance sweep the listener off their feet.
