Pop-Punk Artist Cubby Heads In A New Direction With Latest Single “703”

For alt-pop artist Cubby, heading back to his home in Northern Virginia was a step in the wrong direction. Along with the COVID restrictions, the combination of being stuck at home in a place he didn’t want to be was a catalyst for issues.

“I wrote this song at a dark time in my life“, he shares. “While home I was forced to face a lot of my same old habits, routines, and addictions that I had already defeated when I left. I realized that I needed to get out, and I wasn’t the only one. Four of my friends and I packed up our bags, got the fuck out of the 703, and moved to Southern California together”.

Influenced by the upbeat rebellion of pop-punk, “703” is anthem for those making a fresh start in a new city with optimism and energy leading the way.
