Multi-talented Brooklyn Songwriter Richard Orofino Comes With Fierce Single “Superstar”

“Supersize me, superstar” is the first taste of the punkish attitude found in the voice of Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Richard Orofino. The “inspiration from varied media including the works of David Lynch” is heavily on display with “Superstar”, the second single of 2022 for the 24-year-old.

The violent strums of “Superstar” clash so neatly with the somewhat nasal tones of the vocal inflections over the course of the tight but fitting runtime. Per Richard himself, the track “is about attempting to convince yourself everything in your life is fine even though it’s not, haha… it’s an important one to me because of that and also because it was made at a crucial point in my life”.
