Tennessee Rapper Nate Rose Shares New Single “Tortoise & The Hare” From Upcoming Debut LP ‘Pie To the Party’
Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, emerging rapper Nate Rose released his debut full-length Pie To The Party at the end of July. His first time working with a label, Rose has spent years cutting his teeth as an independent artist; but with his sights on a higher goal, his new release also comes with a higher production value.
From the release is “Tortoise & The Hare”, a punchy metaphor for the rise of an independent artist on the rise. “This song is about being an independent artist (the tortoise) and working diligently for years to build a future compared to hastily signing a label deal (the hare) and giving away your ownership”, he shares.
Incorporating elements of southern drill with club-ready beats, “Tortoise & The Hare” is a hard-hitting and lyrically-driven offer from an underrated talent.
