Emo Rock Act Cigarette Youth Drop Energizing New Single “Separate”

New Jersey emo punk group Cigarette Youth made their debut back in 2021 with the EP Black, White, & Grey, and since then have been combining the timeless sounds of early ’00s emo and punk with a modern energy. With new music on the way, the five-piece have shared their new single “Separate”, written about people manipulating their own words to better fit their narrative.

Roaring vocals, searing guitars, and east coast emo sensibilities evoke sounds of Thursday and Circa Survive, as “Separate” balances melodic riffs with anthemic emo-charged sing-alongs.
