Alt Pop Duo Daisy Grenade Combine Musical Theatre & Pop Punk For New Pete Wentz-Approved Single “Cult Classic”
Daisy Grenade, the “bubblegrunge” duo of Dani & Keaton, came together in NYC during the pandemic through a series of coincidental events and put their heads together to write pop-punk music. Now onto their sophomore EP Cult Classic, the pair have continued to combine their ’90s grunge influences with modern pop-punk and the drama of musical theatre.
Leading the way is the catchy title track “Cult Classic”, produced by The Ready Set and executive produced by Pete Wentz. ’00s pop and dreamy, uplifting hooks combine with the cult horror genre for an unsuspecting pop anthem that feels like a mix of Avril Lavigne, Disney-days Demi Lovato, and Leah Kate.
