UK Alt Rock Outfit Queen Cult Return With New Single “Woman That I Know”

Since releasing their latest single “Calm” just a few weeks back, British femme-queer fronted alt-rock group Queen Cult have followed up with their new single “Woman That I Know”, off their new EP of the same name. Having been compared to the likes of Paramore, Royal Blood, and Nothing But Thieves, the fast-rising group continue to combine hard-hitting guitar riffs with anthemic vocal melodies.

Speaking about the EP, frontwoman, Maisie Johnson explains, “This EP is the heart of all the obstacles faced, and all the self love found throughout the last couple of years. You could say this pandemic has forced us to see our reality from all aspects within the confined walls of our flat. The government, self reflection and to trust our own opinions and views of the world. Transformative. We feel this was a rebirth of Queen Cult.”

Their pent-up frustration about the uncertainty of the world comes through crystal-clear with their arena-sized rock sound. There’s plenty to be excited about with Queen Cult, and “Woman That I Know” is a fine example.
