Chicago Indie Rock Group Friday Pilots Club Make A Difficult Decision On New Single “Never Say No”
Chicago-based five-piece Friday Pilots Club are gearing up to release their new EP I LOVE YOU, ROBOT SUPERSTAR! this October. Now onto their third single, the band of friends have shared “Never Say No”, a song about making the difficult realization that a good thing must find its end.
“’Never Say No’ came to be one long night in Chicago at the exact moment that I realized me and my ex were no longer good for each other”, shares bassist Drew Polovick. “It stems from the fear of being the one who potentially lets a good thing go. It’s reminiscent of late nights and soured relationships; it’s everything you wanted to say to your ex but couldn’t at the moment you needed to most. We as a band have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into the dynamic ebb and flow of this song and we couldn’t be more excited for it to be out in the world.“
Rich with melancholy, the alt-rock tune takes listeners on a journey, opening with a gentle introduction to the withering romance. Inch by inch, the song finds its momentum, before coming to an arena-sized finish.
