Indie Pop Artist Ariana Fig Shares New Single “Running Man”

Now onto her third song of 2022, Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Ariana Fig has shared “Running Man”. Bringing together lush instrumentation and melancholic lyricism, the new single touches on feeling unsatisfied over and over again when something is just out of reach.

“Running Man came to me after going to a concert and leaving the show feeling like my songs are the way I can express my true self”, Ariana shares. “This song to me is about chasing after someone or something that’s never really in arms reach, and the feeling of isolation and pity that comes after every attempt to keep their attention. The first line of each verse displays the mental state you’re in with a person like this; apologetic and even a little confused. We all know a running man“.

Sharing similarities to the likes of Brandi Carlile, ROE, and Lizzy McAlpine, Fig’s combination of indie folk, pop, and singer-songwriter is a vibrant and approachable style that sits comfortably in the next generation of pop.
