Lo-Fi Hip-Hop Artist Mase Well Drops New Single “Lightning”
Adding to his stack of singles from 2022, American hip-hop artist Mase Well has dropped his feel-good new single “Lightning”. Inspired by his appreciation for a loved one, the lo-fi boom bap single keeps things laidback and lyrical.
“‘If this is lightning, let it strike twice’ – an ode to a vulnerable love song to a partner that has changed my life following COVID”, Mase shares. “Generally speaking, I’ve been heavily influenced by jazz boom bap but went a different route with a bit of pop rap on this next record. Its speaks to my yearning to be ever evolving but remain latched in complex word patterns and story narrative”.
Drawing a nostalgic familiarity to some early day Kid Cudi, Bryce Vine, and Chiddy Bang, “Lightning” is an easy-to-love release.
