Swedish Indie Pop Group Colleagues Tease Upcoming Debut Album With New Single “James”

Since forming in 2012, Swedish indie pop group Colleagues have managed to garner some attention with their handful of singles and EPs. Over a decade later, the group have announced their debut full-length is expected in 2023, and they have shared their fluttering new single “James”.

With clear influences from the ’10s indie pop world (Phoenix and Local Natives come to mind), “James” is a bright and effervescent track about reaching the end of a relationship. Its protagonist, James, looks to the past and future while reflecting on the situation, as the group through in a hint of Springsteen into its main hook.
