London Post-Punk Act Beige Banquet Share Feverish New Single “Acid Bath”

Following an extensive tour across The UK, France, Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands, London post-punk five-piece Beige Banquet have shared the lead single from their upcoming EP of the same name, Acid Bath. Giving their feverish live sound a home, the new track is the first full-band studio recording from the group, leaving behind drum machines and artificial instrumental layering.

Initially the solo bedroom project of Tom Brierley, Beige Banquet leapt out of pandemic lockdowns with a fully formed and highly beloved debut album, Beta, and their upcoming collection elevates the band’s sound into the next dimension. Recorded in Brierley’s bedroom studio, “Acid Bath” packages together the band’s frantic musicality and tasteful punk splashes, brought out by the chaotic vocal melodies and explosive finale.

Speaking on the track’s themes, band leader Tom Brierley explains “Lyrically it’s an ode to an undefined temporary solution for bitter desperation, almost to the point of nihilism”

A common feeling in the modern UK post-punk scene to say the least.
