Top 50 Albums of 2022
Year after year, I feel like compiling a list of albums that stood out becomes more and more of a challenge. Maybe it’s because this year there seemed to be an overwhelming high number of albums that landed on my doorstep, or perhaps the calibre of releases continues to exceed expectations.
Regardless, 2022 went by at a lightning speed (as per usual) and I’ve taken on the task of choosing the Top 50 Albums of 2022. (Of course, if you want my extended list of 100, subscribe to my Patreon!) I like to think this is a pretty balanced list, in both genre and skill; my aim was to blend together albums that I personally loved this year, along with albums that objectively were amazing, noteworthy releases.
It’s worth noting that the pop category was one of the more underwhelming genres this year, while hip-hop and punk seemed to be doing the heavy lifting in my humble opinion. Let me know what you think!
