Indie Pop Artist Mike Baretz Shares Dreamy Lead Single “Elevator” From Latest EP ‘What I Won’t Be”

Indie singer-songwriter/producer Mike Baretz released his new EP What I Won’t Be last week. The 7 track collection shows his continued evolution as a modern pop artist, incorporating R&B and indie pop in equal measure. The self-taught artist shares his new focus single “Elevator”, and it is a welcomed look into his dreamy sound, as he turns the ups and downs of his career into a worthy metaphor.

Baretz details, “Elevator” was the impetus for the whole sonic world of this project. It’s about what comes up always coming back down- a common theme across all of the songs. The ups you have when you are vulnerable is what makes the lows so low; like going to the penthouse down to the basement“.

With his warm croon and glossy guitar tones at the helm, the catchy yet soulful track makes for an easy listening experience which offers a more reflective layer if need be.
