London Indie Singer-Songwriter Lexie Carroll Supports A Friend Through A Difficult Time On New Single “Violet”

London-based singer-songwriter Lexie Carroll has shared her new single and video “violet”, lifted from her newly announced EP set for release this May. Blending folk, indie, and pop, the emerging artist finds a charming relatability and welcoming modern pop sound as she provides encouragement to a close friend.

Speaking of the inspiration behind ‘violet’, Lexie explains, “I wrote ‘violet’ because my friend was going through a difficult time and it was hard to get through to them. so in the song i’m just saying “hold on, i know your brain’s saying it won’t get better, but it will”.

In the accompanying music video, Carroll and her friends use heavy burlap sacks to represent the challenges faced, with the group coming together to make it through the day.
