Australian Singer-Songwriter Rya Martin John Lets His Personality Shine On New Single “INFJ”

Australian singer-songwriter Ryan Martin John is set to release his debut album Goodness Gracious Graceless on April 28th. From the upcoming collection is the personality-filled & twangy new single “INFJ”. Named after his personality type from the Myers-Briggs test, the track is summery tune about embracing the introverted side of being a performing artist.

After taking the test and finding himself to be categorized as an introverted, intuitive feeling, judgemental person (INFJ), John found inspiration. He shares, As a musician I’m often wanting to use my platform for good change, but because I’m introverted, I find it hard to be a loud voice among the rabble. This song acknowledges that and makes peace with it in a triumphant declaration.”

Sonically, the track was inspired by the ’60s & ’70s country scene, even going as far as to use the same recording techniques of those decades. Using ribbon microphones whilst live recording all instruments and vocals in the same room, each aspect of “INFJ” and John’s debut album was intentional to give the warm, crunchy sounds as homage to the inspiration.
