Brooklyn Alt-Pop Artist Middle Part Fights Off Burn-Out On Catchy New Single “Chinatown” Featuring Yuno

Brooklyn-based indie pop artist Middle Part has shared his new single “Chinatown”. Bringing along friend and collaborator Yuno, the new track is a nod to the common feelings of burn out and being overwhelmed by the big city, while also remaining drawn to being there.

After finding his way to New York City following a brief stint living in Alaska, Middle Part (real name Andrew Selkōw), began releasing music as a way to counter the dark times behind him. His time in Alaska left him feeling lonely and stuck in a monotonous cycle while working at a local pizza shop, and the songs conceived during that time found a new light on his 2020 debut EP I Wish I Was Alive. “Chinatown” follows a similar expressiveness and pop-forward impact, blurring the line between anxious and uplifting with his bright songwriting style.

Accompanying the new single is an animated video, directed by Glendon & Isabella.
