About the song, Roberts shares, “This song is about the realization that I’ve burned my last bridge with someone I loved, and I’m forced to sort through what’s left, which isn’t much. Even after growth and lessons learned, there is still an emptiness. She tried to make me a better person, and for her trouble I broke her heart. Something I struggle with to this day.“
