Alt-Pop Act Back To Yours Share Booming New Single “I Must Be Confused”
Initially formed as a Beatles cover band while attending Georgetown University in 2018, Back To Yours eventually began writing their own music. Comprised of friends Aiden Jones (bass), Bryce Kassalow (guitar & vox), Daniel Luttway (keys & vox), Jiaan Mansuri (drums), and Tommy Levin (guitar & vox), the group have just released their sophomore album It’s Dangerous At Home, including the new single “I Must Be Confused”.
“‘I Must Be Confused’ deals with coming back to a place/person that was once familiar, and facing the reality that they are not the same as you remember them”, the band explain about the song. “[It] explores feelings of fear, anger and betrayal, and the initial realization that as you change, the world does not stay the same. We are all part of the cacophony of life and time’s arrow marches on”.
Naturally, influences of The Beatles come through, alongside the ’80s piano-pop sounds of Queen and Billy Joel with a modern flare, in line with the band Jukebox the Ghost.
Catchy in all the right places, “I Must Be Confused” is a playful and booming song that brings the five-piece’s cohesive energy to life.
