Australian Post-Punk Act Dick Dudley Battle Against Kidney Disease On New Single “Salt”
Australian post-punk act Dick Dudley have shared their new single “Salt”. Despite not being from the UK, the band’s undeniable influence from the ’70s & ’80s British post-punk scene come through clearly, this time as the offer a more personal edge to their discography. The self-described “sodium-fuelled, high cholesterol anthem” gives frontman Richie a chance to fight back against his struggle with kidney disease while holding onto the genre’s tongue-in-cheek lyricism and classic dry humour, fitting in amongst the likes of Viagra Boys, shame, and Home Counties.
