Los Angeles-based indie singer-songwriter Louie Rubio has shared his new psychedelic-tinged single “Find Your Light”. Built on a groovy, West Coast-kissed bass line, the new release is a plea to search for meaning and freedom in life.
Hints of ’60s and ’70s pop flutter in with modern nods to Tame Impala and Steve Lacy, as Rubio adds his own personal touch in both sound and lyricism. Opening with the line “You kill yourself / just to make a living”, snare claps and effect-touched vocals provide a warm contrast of bittersweet hope and optimism.
