Los Angeles tropical noise pop group Bür Gür came to be when childhood friends Corbin Clarke and Makan Negahban joined artistic forces to commence their journey in a new creative direction. After releasing their debut Alligator Cheesecake in 2014, Bür Gür have a shared a visual teaser from their upcoming sophomore Have You Lost Your Faith in God?.
Drawing together influences from Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, and a hint of Tokyo Police Club, their new single “Neighbors” contrasts together breezy, bright indie pop with textured, experimental rhythms to produce an off-centrered sense of relaxation. However, unlike the calming nature of the song, the accompanying music video is a creepy psychological thriller involving a neighbour who becomes too close for comfort.
