“Duality” showcases Dayes’ unwavering ability to passionately construct pieces that are both captivating and melodic from behind the kit. Featuring the talented keyboardist Charlie Stacey, and Bassist/Guitarist Rocco Palladino, “Duality” hits hard and fast, blending together funk, hip-hop, jazz, and soul.

Opening half “For My Ladies” is a sultry, smooth synth-forward jazz number, before taking off into the jet-fuelled “Othello”, both highlighting Dayes’ powerful percussion talents.

The video was directed by German photographer Florian Joahn, and utilizes light and shadow alongside vibrant canvases for a warm, captivating effect. The simplicity of the video lets the listener hone in on Dayes and his band’s stunning musicality.
