In case anyone needed a reminder, ska is alive and well. Orange County seven-piece Bite Me Bambi made their official debut last year with their self-titled EP. From the release is the new music video for the hit single “Hot Lava”.
Bringing the 3rd wave of ska punk into the 21st century, Bite Me Bambi share plenty of similarities to iconic favourites like Reel Big Fish, Fishbone, and Me First And the Gimmie Gimmies. Their energetic sound and West Coast influence shines through with the vibrant horn section and surf-punk tendencies. Lead by singer Tahlena Chikami, Bite Me Bambi bring some fun Paramore/pop elements into the mix on “Hot Lava”, making the single an open invitation to hit the dancefloor.
