The Strokes – Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus

It’s been over seven years since The Strokes released a new album. Fortunately for fans, the drought will be over this Friday April 10th with The New Abnormal – produced by none other than Rick Rubin in his Shangri-La studio in Malibu. From the release is their latest single “Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus”.

The New Abnormal has the band bringing out more synthesizer and electronic-inspired elements, making it more comparable to lead singer Julian Casablanca’s solo work, but with the familiar dance-rock of their earlier sound. “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus” is a great example, zipping through verses of dense synthesizers before flying into the post-punk revival days of 2003’s Room On Fire.
