Home Counties – Redevelopment

In the music universe, there are few things as exciting as a compelling debut release. It is almost as rare as falling in love with someone at first sight. Bristol-based indie experimental alt-rock band Home Counties have set the bar high on their fantastic debut single “Redevelopment”.

The young five-piece is a melded reincarnation of Haze, taking with them their rambunctious energy and shaping it into something articulate, percussive and dynamic. Their debut single “Redevelopment” has deep roots in the quirky alternative scene of ’70s & ’80s Brit-rock but with the slick, contemporary production.

It’s playfully melodic and charmingly cynical, with lyrics like “Decay / Makes way / As we build / A complex of unaffordable luxury apartments” giving small jabs as you dance along.

Enjoy the single below and stay tuned for their debut EP out later this year.
