daysormay Ask the Hard Questions With New Single “Running”
Following the success of their hit single “Role Model” featuring Tessa Violet, Vancouver breakout indie pop trio daysormay have released their new single “Running” and its accompanying music video.
Not limiting themselves to simple chords and basic guitar pop tactics, daysormay elevate their catchy hooks and riffs with layered production, colliding synthesizers and pulsing percussion, formatting into a larger-than-life sound. The promising potential of this group is astonishing, allowing themselves to take up as much space as they see fit with each of their singles.
With “Running”, the band ask themselves the tough questions about life and where they want to be, singing “Are you doing what you can or are you doing what you gotta?…Are you trying for a reason, are you trying cause you oughta?”. The introspection combines with the vibrant sounds to bring a single well beyond their years. At just 20 years old, daysormay are the future of indie pop, branching out from their influences of Phoenix and Portugal. The Man to craft their own route.
