DZ Deathrays Go Intergalactic In New Animated Video For “Fired Up”‘; New LP Out July 2021

Australian party punk trio DZ Deathrays are set to release their new album Positive Rising: Part 2 in July 2021. The band’s fifth album is a follow-up to 2019’s Positive Rising: Part 1 and the announcement comes alongside their new single “Fired Up”.

While the band’s gritty, garage rock sound is still present, their new single shows them clearing off the weed shake as they head into arena rock territory, leaving the hazy stoner style behind. Anthemic rock hooks, and a Bruce Springsteen-sized chorus, “Fired Up” is an uplifting and power-hungry track that keeps the DZ trio moving in the right direction.

Accompanying the new song is the trippy animated music video that combines old school video game graphics with psychedelic, universe-travelling adventures, helping to make the song sound and feel limitless.
