Bristol Producer oblyx Visits An Alternate Reality In New Single “Another Life”
Gearing up to release his third studio album Out Of the Woods this December, Bristol-based producer Oliver Johnson, better known as oblyx, has shared his glitchy, electro-pop track “Another Life”. Inspired by the idea of living out an entirely different story in another life, the song’s retro-meets-futuristic stylings make it something upbeat and science fiction.
Glowing synths round out an irresistible hook as obylx’s airy voice keeps things light on the track. There’s a blend of influences, from chill, electronic artists Kygo and Tora, and British indie pop groups Bombay Bicycle Club and Years & Years. Simple yet effective, “Another Life” is an addictive earworm.
