Lo Talker Get Weird In New Video For “Don’t Hide That Light Pt. II”

Athens, Georgia indie rock group Lo Talker made their debut late last year with the single “No Champagne” after frontman Andrew Shepard decided to embark on a new adventure following his departure from Roadkill Ghost Choir after eight years. Now, Lo Talker are gearing up to release their debut full-length A Comedy Of Errors on March 19th through Arts & Crafts.

Their latest single and video is “Don’t Hide That Light Pt.II”, an optimistic and folk-tinged song about chasing away the darkness of the world. Shepard explains, “I wrote ‘Don’t Hide That Light’ to try and remind myself that just because the world around me has plunged into a new level of insanity, it doesn’t mean I have to follow suit. Nihilism is so easy to flirt with especially when it feels like we’re not in on the cosmic joke being told, but the thought that a better world is possible in the face of such darkness is one worth waking up for.”

The song’s lightheartedness comes out in the new music video which is a playfully dark comedy that takes a wild turn, as Shepard plays two characters side by side, soundtracked by his slow-burning drawl.
