Francis Lung Makes The Most Of A “Bad Hair Day” In New Video
Manchester-based singer-songwriter Francis Lung will be releasing his sophomore album Miracle on June 18th via Memphis Industries. After coming to terms with his mental health and substance abuse, and re-evaluating his relationships, the music on his new release is about being introspective and embracing the positive changes in his life.
Opening the collection is “Bad Hair Day”, a look back on hangovers and missed connections, as Francis sings brightly about relationships gone wrong and realizing his mistakes. His laidback vocals and warm, yet sharp guitar tones add a summery vibe and charisma to his power-pop style in line with Jeremy Messersmiths and Justin Pierre (of Motion City Soundtrack).
Speaking on the new album Francis shares, “For me, [Miracle] is about the struggle between my self-destructive side and my problem-solving, constructive side. I suppose through a lot of these songs I’m dealing with these emotional problems, acknowledging the negative aspects of my behaviour instead of burying them, and providing an alternative point of view for myself”.
His positive outlook pays off in the beaming new single. Watch the music video below and pre-order Miracle here.
