Tora Announce New Album With Single “Why Won’t You Wait”

Australian indie chill-pop act Tora have officially announced their third album A Force Majeure will be out September 3rd. The announcement comes alongside their latest single and music video “Why Won’t You Wait”.

The group’s iconic moody alt-R&B instrumentation and glittering synthesizer moments come alive on the new track, creating a certain heaviness that pairs with the song’s inspiration. Frontman Jo Loewenthal shares that the song was derived from “the fear of being forgotten in a long distance relationship”.

The Byron Bay natives relocated in the early days of 2020 to Amsterdam, but were soon kept to a strict lockdown in the Netherlands. As things opened up, they filmed their new video in the border forests of France and Belgium in September 2020. directed by Bob Sizoo and featuring Dutch model Gigi Ringel along with the band members of Tora, the visual also includes a centerpiece art installation conceptualized and designed by Rein Kooyman.
