Hardcore Act Demons Share New Track “Full Stop” Ahead of LP Out Apr 30
With their new album Privation due Friday April 30th, Norfolk, VA hardcore act Demons have shared their latest single “Full Stop”. Pulling influence from the likes of Metz, Gulch, Converge, and Propagandhi, the experimental hardcore quartet create an anthemic and visceral brick wall of noise rock on the new single.
Of the new track, Gehring says, “‘Full Stop’ is about, on the one hand, knowing what I’m angry about, but not knowing how to mobilize that anger and make it productive. Being in this wallowing state that is as frustrating as it is exhausting; on the other hand, it’s push back against empty sloganeered positivity. I remember seeing this post this friend of mine made one day about the power of ‘the spirit’ or something-or-other and I kind of recoiled. It just came off as very obtuse.”
The pent up frustration and wallowing anger fuels the track’s slamming percussion and searing guitar riffs, as Demons mix catchy hooks with chaotic punk soundscapes. Instantly attention-grabbing, the four minute track grabs hold and doesn’t let go.
