Introducing: Danish Indie Pop Artist AYA MAI Makes Debut With “Monday”

Danish-born indie pop singer AYA MAI has officially made her debut with the glossy new single “Monday”. Performing as a professionally trained vocalist since the age of 8, AYA has been a performer for the majority of her life, including an appearance on X-Factor DK and as a touring jazz vocalist around the world with numerous artists. “Monday” is her live experience and life-long dedication coming together for an introspective love song.

With its accompanying music video, “Monday” is a reflective piece about the hardships of a relationship, as she sings “we fell in love on a weekend, but will you still want me when everyday’s Monday” while a one-shot of subtle choreography guides the audience through a deteriorating romance. There’s a strength and confidence in her voice that highlights her talents as both a songwriter and performer, yet still bears a level of rawness and vulnerability with her melancholic delivery.
