Nashville’s Hadley Kennary Shares Title Track From Upcoming EP “Crooked Roots”

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Hadley Kennary will be releasing her new Crooked Roots EP this October and has shared its reflective title track. Sharing sonic and lyrical similarities to Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Jensen McRae, Kennary celebrates her nomadic upbringing and life, singing praise to being able to call different places home on “Crooked Roots”. With a melancholic and nostalgic delivery, she branches together pop with hints of Southern folk through her rustic vocal style and gentle guitar melody.

About the song, Hadley shares, “‘Crooked Roots’ feels like a statement about the winding road that lead me to becoming who I am today. As I’m growing as a writer and a person, I think it’s important to look back and take stock in the moments that have gotten me where I am. I’m incredibly grateful for my path and for the songs that have come from it.”
