Bad Bad Hats – Detroit Basketball

Minneapolis indie rock trio Bad Bad Hats are set to release their new album Walkman on September 17th. Their latest single is an ode to the Detroit Pistons, naming the track after the call-and-response chant heard at games. Showcasing their friendly and charming personality and perspective as a band, the accompanying music video is a fun, slacker-pop clip that brings the band out of quarantine hiding and encourages them to ditch their strange hobbies for the live stage.


The Greeting Committee – Float Away

Kansas City-based band The Greeting Committee announce the release of new album Dandelion, out September 24th via Harvest Records. Alongside the album announcement, the band release their emotionally revealing new single “Float Away” and its accompanying animated video – offering an up-close and unguarded look at the way depression warps our self-image. The chunky guitar effects complement frontwoman Addie Sartino’s elegant and tender vocals, for a vulnerable and charming track that continues to grow and grow with each listen.


Pip Blom – It Should Have Been Fun

Amsterdam’s Pip Blom have announced their sophomore album Welcome Break will be out October 8th, and have shared their new track “It Should Have Been Fun”. Based around a catchy, indie rock guitar riff, the new single ditches the “traditional” song structure and instead switches between verse and chorus to capture the alternating emotions of feeling disappointed with yourself and others.


The Birthdays – Bunny

After becoming friends following a tour together in 2017, Ben Grey of Dear Boy & Jackson Phillips of Day Wave came together as The Birthdays. Creating fuzzy, melodic grunge-pop, their new single “Bunny” is the first taste of their collaboration. While their respective main acts have new music on the way, The Birthdays are a temporary escape for the two friends.


Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard – Crescent Man vs. Demolition Man

’70s psych-rock revivalists Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard have shared their anti-capitalist folklore single and video “Crescent Man vs. Demolition Man”. Based on the real-life demolition of Guildford Crescent, a popular street in Cardiff, that left a number of local businesses beneath the dust of new high-rises, the song is a wishful and upbeat song hoping to see the fictional character Crescent Man take on the powerful villain of destruction.


Oscar Welsh – Radio

London-based bedroom pop artist Oscar Welsh has shared his new single “Radio”. The soul-driven track is influenced by his love for Stevie Wonder, Still Woozy, and JPEGMAFIA, combining his appreciation for strong hooks and groovy funk. Appreciating the nostalgia of listening to the radio and CDs in the car before the days of aux cords, “Radio” is a hazy and lush track that is pure positivity.


Still Woozy – Get Down

With his highly anticipated full-length If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is set to be released on August 13th, Still Woozy has shared his latest single “Get Down”, furthering his bedroom-DIY style with its glossy and intimate songwriting. The sweet guitar riffs match his breathy, whispering vocal style for a feel-good and serene summer track.


Sylvie Kreusch – Let It All Burn

Sharing a taste from her forthcoming debut album, Belgian alt-pop artist Sylvie Kreusch has unveiled the new single and video for “Let It All Burn”. Combining the cinematic flare of Hollywood with the nostalgic filter of 16mm, the song and its visual play with the theatrics of failed relationships and the superficiality of fame.


Lilac Cover – Undercurrent

Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, the five-piece electro-pop group Lilac Cove have shared their second single “Undercurrent”. The lush production and heavenly vocals from frontwoman Lauren Hill give off a dream-pop energy matched with the bouncing melodies of indie pop for a compelling second impression.


Foxlee – Heart Attack

The pair of Adam Damelin and Rose Brokenshire have debuted their new act Foxlee, a self-described “virtual soul that stands to tell stories, provoke questioning, and kindle the feelings that are often hard to speak about”. With a dense, trip-hop style production in line with Purity Ring and Phantogram, the electro-pop single builds with a captivating glow and tamed patience.


Tycho x Ben Gibbard – Only Love

Electronic artist Tycho and Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard have come together for a captivating new single “Only Love”. Inspired by a quote from Montanan goat rancher and environmentalist Alexis Bonogofsky about protecting public land against a coal mine, the new song cycles through the phrase “only love will save this place”, founded on Tycho’s hypnotic and surreal production style.


Grimson – I Hate Myself Now

Berlin-based, NYC-raised, Swedish-American indie artist Grimson wrote his latest single “I Hate Myself Now” when he was 16, but revisited it after listening to a ton of The Kinks, David Bowie, and Elliott Smith. The result is a slick, narrative-driven Brit-rock tune with a dry and self-deprecating twist. The accompanying video leans into the artist’s mind with a strange poodle dog-man protagonist struggling to find himself.


Kylie Michele – Stronger

NYC-based indie pop artist Kylie Michele has shared her self-love single “Stronger” and its matching music video. Serving as anthem for herself, the song focuses on accepting that self-love takes time and practice, and knowing that is the first step in the right direction. With an EDM-pop chorus, Kylie combines the full-bodied production of electronic dance music with her pop vocals and delivery.


ROSIE – to get over you

Indie singer-songwriter ROSIE has shared her new break-up anthem “to get over you”, off her upcoming debut EP which focuses on the five stages of grief. Centered around her sugar-coated vocals and diary entry lyrics, the new single is a heartwarming and lush pop song that focuses on third stage, bargaining, and the ups and downs of a break-up for a sad summer hit.


Sam Himself – What It’s Worth

After returning to his hometown of Basel, Switzerland following the world shutting down, indie pop artist Sam Himself had to face his demons from a failed relationship and the loss of his father – both of which occurred in Basel. His new single “What It’s Worth” is about facing the ghosts of his past and embodies the haunting, moody vibes with its dense, synth-wave production and his Nick Cave-esque vocals.


Jonathan Roy – Walk Out On Me

Indie alt-pop artist Jonathan Roy shares a gorgeous new dance video featuring the Ebinum Brothers for his single “Walk Out on Me”. Shot in Lagos, Nigeria, Victory and Marvel Ebinum transform Roy’s powerful ballad into a captivating dance piece, soundtracked by the musician’s rugged and gripping vocals and honest songwriting.


Stephen Sanchez – Kayla

At just 18 years old, Stephen Sanchez has established himself as the next striking troubadour, courtesy of his new single “Kayla”. Written for a girl of the same name that he had unresolved feelings for, the heartfelt song matches a warm energy to James Bay with a subtle folk-twang in line with Donovan Woods.


Mackenzie Leighton – Mona By The Seaside

French-American artist Mackenzie Leighton has shared her ethereal new indie pop single “Mona Be The Seaside”, returning to her English songwriting roots. Off her newly release Fleuriste EP, the latest single and visual capture the soft-spoken carefree energy of her glossy pop sound.


Connor Kauffman – Hate You For A Lifetime

Conneticut-based bedroom producer Connor Kauffman found success with his new single “Hate You For A Lifetime” on TikTok prior to the song’s release with over 2 million streams. Now, the full track is out for the world as he combines his contemporary production with punchy alt-rock energy.


Boon – Can’t Be Love

Joining the wave of talented, young bedroom producers and songwriters, Nashville-based artist Boon has shared his new single “Can’t Be Love”. The EDM-trap style track pushes forward with dense and texture production as he explores the disillusionment of toxic relationships.


Richard String – Capitol Hill

With a cool and calm demeanour, Nashville-based producer Richard String goes through the depressing state of politics on his new single “Capitol Hill”. In a poetic, steady flow, String combines acoustic rock with a subtle hip-hop flare for the genre-fluid track in line with Ben Folds and Hobo Johnson.


Boyfrn ft. Dillan Ponders – Way I Flow

Scarborough-based artist Boyfrn and Toronto’s Dillan Ponders have shared their empowering new single “Way I Flow”. The R&B-hop track is a meld of Kid Cudi style hip-hop and electronic infused R&B for a groovy and chill track.

International star Tommy Cash is back with another eye-catching and ear-pleasing trap-rap hit “Benz-Dealer”, featuring Polish rapper Quebonafide. Tommy Cash’s style and sound has launched him to stardom and the Estonian artist is not shying away from the world of luxury and eccentricities in his new video.


Jungle ft. Bas – Romeo

British production and dance music duo Jungle have shared their first ever collaboration with the new single “Romeo” featuring rapper Bas. After befriending each other at a music festival a few years back, the three musicians wrote the new song which will be featured on Jungle’s upcoming third album Loving In Stereo. The groovy and soulful new track is the latest taste of the highly anticipated release.

MASN – Don’t Talk

Eagle Mountain, Utah native MASN is set to release his new EP later this year and has moved the process along with his new single “Don’t Talk”. Written about allowing himself to be vulnerable and dive into his emotions, the single is a powerful and punchy alt-pop song that combines trap beats with lush, warm spirited pop energy.


BLOW ft Anna Majidson – Shake The Disease

French electro-pop act BLOW have brought along Anna Majidson (of Haute) for the glossy, disco-inspired single “Shake The Disease”. The slow-burning ballad embodies the anxiety and uncertainty of approaching 30 in an unpredictable world.


Benét – Plz

Richmond newcomer Benét is set to release their debut EP Game Over on August 6th. Sharing the latest offering “Plz”, the genre-bending artist showcases the power of self-expression with a warm spirit, soundtracked by funky and charming instrumentation.


Nate Smith ft. Brittany Howard – Fly (For Mike)

Progressive jazz drummer, producer, and composer Nate Smith brought along Brittany Howard for his powerful new single “Fly (For Mike)”, the closing track from his new album Kinfolk 2: See The Birds, out September 17th. Dedicate to his late father, the gospel-inspired jazz track is a gentle and stunning piece that reflects on the resurgence following deep loss.


Eugénie – Blue

French rising pop star Eugénie has shared her new single and video “Blue”, a glitchy and attention-grabbing piece about feeling overwhelmed with life and the feeling of hopelessness that comes with it. Expanding her repertoire to include more English songs, “Blue” is a seamless starting point as her strong-winded delivery keeps a steady, confident flow.


Cartel Madras x Dom Dias – FEAR & LOATHING

From their forthcoming EP The Serpent & The Tiger, Calgary-based hip-hop duo Cartel Madras have shared the cinematic music video for the pulsating track “Fear & Loathing”. Inspired by True Detective, Skyfall, Dark City, and La Femme Nikkita, the multi-narrative video creates a commanding and hard-hitting visual experience that matches the thumping, Dom Dias-produced track perfectly.


HARD FEELINGS – Dangerous

NYC singer-songwriter Amy Douglas and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard have shared their latest track from their collaborative project Hard Feelings. Mixing powerhouse vocals and underground rave-worthy beats, “Dangerous” is dance-hungry, sultry synth-pop tune that will be off their forthcoming debut self-titled album out November 5th.


Swedish House Mafia – It Gets Better

Electronic powerhouse trio Swedish House Mafia have shared their first music video in eight years with “It Gets Better”. The punching future0house track combines jungle-inspired house with hypnotic and dense techno for an unpredictable and stunning return.


SABRINA – Drive

UK indie singer-songwriter and pop artist SABRINA has shared her new single “Drive”, an empowering track that depicts the ending of a relationship. Despite its break-up theme, the song is confident and powerful, with strong production and SABRINA’s elegant vocals floating overtop as she holds off any feelings of regret with her decision.


Andrew Belle – Spectrum

Chicago singer-songwriter Andrew Belle has announced his new album Nightshade will be out August 20th. Alongside the news, Belle has shared the new visual for his late4t single “Spectrum”, a pulsating electro-pop tune that explores the idea of co-dependency and its affects on our mental heath. Belle’s soft tenor cruises over the pulsating production for an emotional performance.


Mickael Karkousse – Where Do We Begin

Belgian DIY artist Mickale Karkousse will be releasing his debut EP later this year, but for now he has shared his laidback, skateboarding visual for his new single “Where Do We Begin”. With a raw, coming-of-age feel to the song, the nostalgia and modern production intertwine for an ode to skateboard culture that’s soundtrack by a big chorus hook and minimalist bedroom production.


Bealby Point – Talk To Me

Vancouver-based indie rock outfit Bealby Point are gearing up to release their new EP later this year, and the four friends have shared the latest addition “Talk To Me”. Written about doing something that you know is wrong but feels right because you want it, the upbeat post-punk revival track has a bit of fun being the devil on your shoulder.


FLOWVERS – When It Comes To It

Portsmouth-based four-piece FLOWVERS dive into the influences of their ’80s and ’90s post-punk predecessors on their new single “When It Comes To It”. The shadowy alt-rock track takes warm guitar tones and throws them against sharp, speedy percussion with melancholic vocals for a crisp, charging track.


Summer Years – This Light

San Diego pop-punk group Summer Years have shared the first single “This Light” from their upcoming EP You Can’t Live There Forever. Borrowing influences from ’00s band Jimmy Eat World, and Blink 182, the emerging four-piece keep the emo-tinged pop-punk era alive with their melodic lead single.


Joy Formidable – Chimes

Having recently announced a new album and a tour, Welsh trio The Joy Formidable have shared the new music video for their latest single “Chimes”. Shot in an old barn in Utah, the natural light through the cracks combined with the stage lights give the frantic grunge-pop track a dizzying visual accompaniment.


Harm & Ease – Cut Me Loose

Toronto rock group Harm & ease have dropped their speaker-blasting single “Cut Me Loose”. With a White Stripes-style blues rock riff and Finger Eleven, Canadian pop rock energy, the combination is a hard-hitting, and foot stomping hit song that combines the modern rock world with the classic rock timelessness.


Real Sickies – Love Is For Lovers

Edmonton punk group Real Sickies dropped their new album Love Is For Lovers recently, and have shared the comedic music video for the title track. In a world where showing affection is a wrongful $666 fine, the upbeat punk tune highlights a few real-life long-term couples that are fighting back.
