Liverpool Punk Trio The Marigolds Release Fan-Favourite “Smash And Grab”

Formed back in 2018 when bassist/vocalist Joe Green and guitarist Joe Morgan met at university in Liverpool, the dance-punk duo added on drummer Lucas Pidgen to round out their fiery and ferocious style of performance. With a knack for incorporating funk and psychedelic tendencies into their lively sound, The Marigolds have become known for their energetic live performances, which includes their fan-favourite and new release “Smash and Grab”.

Founded on a groovy guitar line and West Coast punk percussion, “Smash and Grab” is a bright and lively punk tune with the right amount of pop to deliver a catchy chorus and verses filled with personality. The melodic and upbeat approach gives way for dancefloor-filling grooves and fuzz-driven riffs before blasting off into a hardcore proto-punk finish.
