Berlin Indie Folk Artist L’aupaire Shares New Video For “When I Fall”
Well in advance of his upcoming third album due out Spring 2022, rising Berlin artist L’aupaire shares his delicate and charming new single “When I Fall”, written as a a bright invitation to connect with others on a deeper level. Real name Robert Laupert, L’aupaire’s soft, warm vocals dance over a mandolin strum that eventually gathers a grew of vocal harmonies, guitars, and a swelling string arrangement.
On the new single he shares, “It’s one of my favourite songs I‘ve written so far. I wrote it at the end of a really dark and quite challenging chapter in my life. It feels a bit like a reflection, getting some dots connected and gaining my power back as a songwriter and human being“.
The song’s slow build and humble demeanour finds a pair with its accompanying visual, as the clip leads viewers through a day by the lake and opens up the serene, vibrant qualities of being surrounded by nature. Similar to contemporary artists such as Amber Run and Aquilo, L’aupaire has a strong, yet calming presence as he blends folk with indie rock.
