Brooklyn-based Synth-Funk Act BAD Make Time For Self-Care On New Track “Bubblebath”
Inspired by their love for ’80s pop and timeless, funky grooves, synth-pop duo BAD, comprised of NYC based duo Julia Brex and Jackson Hoffman, first began writing and recording music in high school, focused mainly on pop songwriting for other artists. They’ve switched gears and are now putting their own adventure first, and on their latest single “Bubblebath”, the upbeat pair are focusing on self-care.
“Bubblebath is a song about self-care! It’s about taking time for yourself, washing all the negativity off your skin, and letting it circle down the drain and out of your life”, the band share. “We give so much to our jobs, our families, our friends, our romantic relationships, and this song is a reminder to give to yourself.”
With an infectious and colourful pop hook, BAD have plenty of funk combining the styles of their predecessors with ’90s pop, soul, funk and throwback ’80 synth-pop.
