Brighton Alt-Rock Act Will & The People Give In To Their Instincts On New Single “Animal”
Brighton 4-piece Will & The People headed to Los Angeles to record their new single “Animal” to work with a talented group of producers to bring out their lively sound, with Thom Russo (Audioslave, Michael Jackson, Jay Z), mixed / produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat (Liam Gallagher, Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, The Vaccines) and mastered by long term collaborator Mandy Parnell (Aphex Twin, The XX, Bjork).
Combining ’80s synth-pop with contemporary alt-rock, the group unleash their strengths with each revolving chorus as they open up about letting instinct take over. They share, “It’s the arch nemesis of the “cancel culture” world we live in today. It’s about primitive acceptance. It’s about desires, social conformity and was written to hit very hard, like our actions do when they come back and bite us”.
With an explosive live performance as the accompanying visual, the band ring it home with each chorus: “I’m just an animal / so unpolitical / live life and live it full”.
