PREMIERE: Enigmatic Alt Rock Act 4 Minutes Later Share New Lyric Video For “Grace”

Since anonymously joining the music world back in 2018, 4 Minutes Later have self-defined as alien-pop. No members, no images, no shows, no location given – just a debut EP, a handful of singles, and the promise of a full-length later this year. They are expected to unveil themselves in the near future, but before the announcement, the enigmatic alternative rock group have shared the new lyric video for their latest single “Grace”.

While their previous singles have been centred around their synth-driven alt-rock flare, the new single dives into a more personal and heartfelt theme due to unfortunate circumstances.

“Each of us has a Grandmother who is battling dementia, so the topic was very close to home for us”, the band share. “The lyrics are very much written in style as one would write in a diary or a journal. So every line is very honest and authentic in it’s emotion. For example, my Grammy (as I call her) no longer remembers me by name, and it’s tough”.

Mirroring the song’s poignance and cinematics, the band let the music reflect their experience, bordering between sombre and hopeful: “So in the second verse when we sing, “ You talk about places that you used to go, the people and faces you no longer know. It’s a matter of time, before that face is mine.” – That’s real life, that is our truth. We also believe in the power music has to help heal and connect, which is why we chose to write about something so personal. Part of the healing process for us is to write down our feelings and we hope we are able to connect with anyone struggling or going through similar circumstances. The biggest message with any of our music is to know you’re not alone in feeling a certain way. We are all in this universe together“.

As 4ML head into a new era of unveiled masks, they have also aimed to dive deeper into their experimental side, allowing their music to evolve into the “next era of 4ML”.
