Australian Electro-Pop Artist Austen Unveils Starry-Eyed Single “The Fire”

Rising Australian art-pop force Austen has shared her new single “The Fire”, a dreamy and danceable track from her forthcoming SMALL EP. Evoking similarities to acts such as Little Dragon, Chrvches, and Robyn, Austen crafts a starry-eyed and ethereal synthesizer soundscape that is both introspective and freeing. In her own words, Austen explains, “The Fire is about living on the line between volatile and steady, in a sweet spot of intensity. I wanted it to sound otherworldly, as a reflection of that feeling.”

An irresistible energy pulls the listener through the track, combining the excitement of an underground electronica track with the warmth of nostalgia, bringing alive the indie-electro scene of the 2000s from twinkling synths and a groovy backbeat.
