Folk Singer-Songwriter Tim McNary Shares Latest Single “Back To The Beginning” From Upcoming Debut Full-Length
Born on the southside of Chicago and raised in a fundamentalist Christian home where secular music was forbidden, Tim discovered a love for songwriting while backpacking through the mountains, beaches, and deserts of South America for 2 years. He then toured throughout the deep south in his mini-van before falling on hard times, and becoming homeless for several months. Eventually he found a home in the musical city of Nashville, Tennessee, where he has been able to record his forthcoming debut full-length loose leaf.
From the album is the delicate and striking new single “Back To The Beginning”, a warm and heartfelt anthem about rediscovering the passion in life. He shares, “Whether it relates to your career, a friendship, or a romantic relationship, there are moments in life where you’ve lost the spark you had for something, and you want more than anything to get it back. I sat down to write in July of 2019 wanting to describe that feeling. I’d been feeling quite low and disillusioned myself at the time. “Back to the Beginning” was the result“.
With a soothing and gentle acoustic guitar as its foundation, “Back To the Beginning” explores McNary’s love for the human connection and its soul-touching properties. In line with musicians Gregory Alan Isakov, Ben Howard, and Leif Vollebekk, McNary makes the most of his rustic vocal timbre and sincere songwriting style.
