Dijon – Many Times
New York-based multi-instrumentalist/producer Dijon shared his glorious new single “Many Times” alongside a fresh live performance-style music video. The jangling, upbeat track is filled with rich melancholy and emotion that is mirrored in the chaotic yet melodic instrumentation.
Macca Wiles – too dead to save
UK grunge-pop artist Macca Wiles wanted to showcase his life in the new music video for “too dead to save”. Combining clips of tour, lockdown, studio time, and everything in between, fans are given a closer look into Macca’s journey, soundtracked by his lively and fun hit single.
Chastity – Pummeling
Whitby suburban-emo act Chastity has shared his new single “Pummeling” from his upcoming album Suffer Summer, out January 13th. Keeping things simple, yet personal, “Pummeling” draws from mid-career Blink-182 and Alexisonfire for its catchy and candid punk style, while Chastity’s Brandon Williams gives it his signature emo rock delivery.
Hanne Mjøen – Hurt Like Heaven
With her new EP Emotional Fever out into the world over the weekend, Oslo-based indie pop singer-songwriter Hanne Mjøen has shared her latest single “Hurt Like Heaven”. The crescendoing tune showcases her lush vocals and dynamic range, making for a powerful and emotive release.
Dana and the Wolf – Candidates
California duo Dana and the Wolf wanted to connect their polyamorous relationship with their powerful indie sound for their new single “Candidates”. The duet ballad showcases the couple’s dynamic range and expressive style, turning a 1 minute TikTok into a full fledged piece about their experience as real-life partners.
Léonie Gray – Power
Emerging Montreal-based R&B singer-songwriter Léonie Gray has shared her uplifting and soulful new single “Power”. The lively and chromatic track showcases Gray’s compelling vocal abilities, drawing in inspiration from Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and fellow Canadian artists such as Feist and Beyries.
MICHELLE – SYNCOPATE
NYC-based collective MICHELLE have announced their new album AFTER DINNER WE TALK DREAMS, which will be out January 28th. Alongside the news, the group have shared the lead single “SYNCOPATE” and the NYC summer heat wave music video. The soulful, R&B-pop tune is filled with desire and nostalgia, borrowing melodic ’90s R&B and pop influences to build a passionate and fun anthem.
BLK ODYSSY – DRINKING GOOD
From his stunning new album BLK VINTAGE, Austin-based hip-hop artist BLK ODYSSY has shared his new visual for “DRINKING GOOD”. Directed by Rashad White, the music video depicts BLK ODYSSY during his writing process surrounded by the women in his life intertwined with stunning footage of a young kid exploring his neighbourhood, giving the velvety tune an eye-catching accompaniment.
