Arizona Hip-hop Artist Emmitt Dupree Finds His Worth On New Single “Class Clown”

Arizona-based hip-hop artist Emmit Dupree has shared his new single “Class Clown”, the first taste of new music since his sophomore album Power Isn’t My Point, out earlier this year. With an impressive and articulate flow, and a Chicago style beat in tow, Dupree brings together blues, soul, and witty lyricism for a light-hearted track about knowing your worth in the real world, once the cap and gown comes off.

“Class Clown is somewhat of a humorous anthem; with school being the only gauge on “success” I was looking pretty dim in the light regardless of how witty I may have been. Now that times are a bit different I can see the light in the same dream that was a mere joke to so many around me”.

Influenced by the likes of Kanye West, IDK, Buddy, and Chance the Rapper, “Class Clown” is an exciting discovery from an artist just waiting to take over.
