half•alive Share New Single “Hot Tea” and Announce Upcoming New Album

Back with another single ahead of the new year, half•alive have shared “Hot Tea” and its accompanying music video, in tandem with their announcement of their upcoming album Give Me Your Shoulders, Pt. 1, out February 2022.

Vocalist Josh Taylor says the song speaks to “a deep longing to be touched by life. A desperate desire to love someone with sacred, caring hands and be loved in return by people and God and her creation.” The song builds through the verses, the instrumentals increasing in urgency before crashing into a steady, beat driven chorus.

The video, directed by Taylor, was shot on tour, featuring choreography by JA Collective. “We shot this video on tour, representing that desperate longing with plastic- a material that is nearly invisible, yet air tight. That was the feeling for me at least,” shares Taylor

“Hot Tea” follows the band’s previously released tracks, “Make of It,” “Summerland,” “Time 2,” and “What’s Wrong,” which all came out this year. In support of the new album, half•alive will be hitting the road, with tour dates in North America, the UK and Europe. Full details below.
