Singer-Songwriter Nathaniel Paul Flips The World For New Music Video “Turpentine” From Upcoming Full-Length

Ahead of his sophomore solo album Turpentine, out this Spring, award-winning singer-songwriter Nathaniel Paul (of The Bergamot), has shared the title track and its accompanying surreal music video.

“I almost died shooting this video” states Paul. “I thought it wasn’t going to be all that bad. But when your actually hanging upside down, it really gives you tunnel vision. But honestly, we live in a world of chemicals and things trying to kill us all the time, I thought this was the perfect way to convey the message of the song.” With its careful and pseudo-psychedelic style, “Turpentine” points a finger at the homogeneity of the world, and the mass-overconsumption of news, social media, and the internet. Its soothing guitar line creates a dreamy foundation for Paul to call out for a “better life” despite the chaos of the world.
