Montreal producer/songwriter Jesse Mac Cormack officially announced his new album SOLO will be released on April 8th via Secret City Records. His new single “Blue World” is a crisp, electronica hit that offers up his gritty, whispered croon over pulsating drum tones that encourages the idea that less is more.
Novaa – The World’s Thing
With every release, Berlin-based alt-pop singer-songwriter manages to surprise and entertain through her dynamic sound design and subtle poignancy. On her new single “The World’s Thing”, lifted from her forthcoming album due this Spring, Novaa incorporates elements of Billie Eilish for a choppy and dense hit single.
Sad Park – You Said / Chest Pains
Los Angeles indie rock group Sad Park have put out a new double single “You Said / Chest Pains”. Combining heartbreak with catchy indie rock, both singles have their own charm and melancholic attraction.
St.Arnaud – Catching Flies
Edmonton-based singer-songwriter St.Arnaud has shared his first piece of music since his 2019 debut album. The patience of dealing with a pandemic and navigating your 20’s through the fog comes through in a groovy, indie pop fashion, as the emerging artist combines Jason Collett vibes with bedroom-style production. Expect a sophomore album later this year.
T Truman – Entertainer
Vaccines’ keyboardist T Truman has shared his lates solo effort “Entertainer”. His retro-inspired jangling piano pop style is here to stay, as he gears up to release his new EP Luxury Star on March 10th. There’s an effortless coolness to his voice that pairs wonderfully with reaching piano chords and harmonies.
