Massachusetts-based post-hardcore band peregrine buckled down during the pandemic in 2021 to work on their upcoming album the awful things we’ve done. From the release is the group’s latest single “a polite merlot”, which captures their continued growth and visceral melodic style. The sounds of late ’90s melodic punk acts Refused and At The Drive-In come to mind as the guitars and vocal clash for attention, adding an artistic and unpredictable freeform with each passing verse. Fans of the genre should not sleep on Peregrine.
