Aussie Underdogs Skegss Return With New Video For “Stranger Days”
Australian rock trio Skegss released two new singles this week, including the Aussie summer-inspired “December”, and its stand-out pal “Stranger Days”.
The infectious, sun-kissed track “Stranger Days” comes alongside a new video directed by Jamieson Kerr, which features drummer Jonny Lani training to run a marathon as his bandmates refuel him with beers from a pub (in true Skegss fashion). “I think I wrote it a while ago, being in a mood where it’s epic to try and ride out your ambitions and try and always look back when you kook it at life, and say I will try to be better, be a better friend, better partner, get better at getting better,” explains vocalist Ben Reed. “Life is a changing, strange constant. But the more the days go on you get over things, so it’s about riding those feelings out when you get weirded out by the world.”
With the band’s irresistible charm and underdog songwriting at the helm, “Stranger Days” is a serotonin-boosting effort that is equally matched with its personality-filled music video.
